    Abstract
Immunization is a crucial component of child health and plays a significant role in reducing morbidity and mortality rates associated with vaccine-preventable diseases (MOH., 2022). However, adherence to immunization schedules remains a challenge in many developing countries, including Kenya. According to the 2014 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey, 76% of babies in Kenya had received their vaccinations. Increasing immunization compliance is a crucial step in lowering morbidity and death from childhood vaccine-preventable illnesses. This research investigated the factors influencing adherence to the immunization schedule among children attending the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Clinic in Kapsabet County referral hospital. The study utilized quantitative survey studies with semi structured questionnaire for data collection. A simple random sampling procedure was used to choose a total of 150 participants. The study emphasizes on the socioeconomic, healthcare, cultural beliefs and parental understanding and knowledge on immunization all influence adherence to immunization schedule. The researcher further recommends the importance of introduction of financial assistance programs for the low-income families to access immunization services consistently. Moreover, health education on vaccines and immunization programs are highly encouraged to demystify myths and misconceptions among communities and increase their level of awareness
